Mission

The City of Santa Fe’s Youth Programs provide an opportunity for kids to experience a wide range of activities supervised by a caring and supportive staff. Programs are FESTIVE because we ensure that activities are Fun, Educational & Safe.

Spring break Camp 2023 is at Capacity

March 20-24, 2023

The Spring Break  Camp is for children 6-12 years of age (proof of age is required) please provide one of the following documents during registration: birth certificate, immunization records, or a passport.  Program hours: 7:30am-5:30pm. Parents/Guardian must send a full lunch and snack with each child for the day camps. Activities include sports, swimming, ice skating, social games, fun with food projects, and arts & crafts.

Registration will take place at the Genoveva Chavez Community Center, Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:30pm until program is full. Registration is on a first come, first serve basis. Space is limited. The cost for Spring Break camp is on a sliding scale fee structure (proof of income is required during registration).

 

 

School Closure Day Camps

School closure day camps will be offered on designated days when the public schools are closed. Day Camps are for children 6-12 years of age (proof of age is required) please provide one of the following documents during registration: birth certificate, immunization records, or a passport.  Program hours: 7:30am-5:30pm. Parents/Guardian must send a full lunch and snack with each child for the day camps. Activities include sports, swimming, ice skating, social games, fun with food projects, and arts & crafts. Registration is on a first come, first serve basis. Space is limited. The cost for each day camp is on a sliding scale fee structure (proof of income is required during registration).

April 10, 2023- Vernal Holiday

 

Day Camp Sliding Scale

Between $50,001 and above                  $40 per day camp

Between $36,001-$50,000                     $30 per day camp

Between $25,701-$36,000                     $20 per day camp

Less than $10,000-$25,700                    $15 per day camp

 

 After School Program

The after school Program is full and at capicity, if you would like to be added to the waitlist please reach out to Melissa Bustos at (505) 955-4005 or mabustos@santafenm.gov 

The after school program is for children 6-12 years of age (proof of age is required) please provide one of the following documents during registration: birth certificate, immunization records, or a passport. The Teen center is for youth 13-17 years of age. Activities include sports, swimming, ice skating, social games, fun with food projects, and arts & crafts. Special presentations and field trips may also be included.

Transportation will be provided from the following schools: Gonzales, Carlos Gilbert, Chaparral, Amy Biehl, and Pinon.

 Transportation for programs is limited at this time but other sites will be considered based on number of participants (minimum 5).

Snack is provided during the After School Program. On Fridays children can bring snack money for the Cafe. (Children with severe food allergies must bring their own snack each day)

 

Covid-Safe Practices

All City of Santa Fe youth program participants will be required to follow all Covid-Safe Practices while attending a City-sponsored camp or program.

The safety of our campers and staff is our top priority and we take this responsibility very seriously. Our safety protocols and polices follow local City and County rules, and incorporate the latest recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Policies and procedures are subject to change as guidance evolves to fit the current situation.

*Mask and Face Coverings

Masks/face coverings are optional at this time.

Sick Child Policy

We are committed to maintaining the good health of the children as much as possible. We ask that you cooperate in this effort. When children have any of the following conditions they may not attend or stay at the City Youth Programs

  • Temperature of 100 or higher

  • Vomiting

  • Diarrhea – 2 or 3 loose stools in a short time

  • Cold symptoms

  • Undiagnosed rash on the body

  • Cloudy discharge from the eye(s)

  • Any communicable disease

 A doctor’s note must be presented when a child is sent home with these symptoms.

We require that children not return to the program until symptoms are no longer contagious and have been gone for 24 hours.
