Pre-Registration Classes

All preregistration classes may be cancelled 24 hours prior to the start date if there is low enrollment.

Triathlon Training Class

This is a five week training program for those preparing to participate in summer triathlons. Whether you just want to cross train, explore the challenges of multisport, or race triathlon, this class will help you in your endeavors to reach your goals. It will meet the needs of students new to the sport as well as challenging and inspiring more experienced and seasoned triathletes. The objective is to work at and improve on swim, bike and run techniquesrequired to succeed in triathlon. Subjects covered will also include transitions, nutrition, strength training, injury prevention, equipment maintenance and race day strategy. Please bring your bike and bike gear to all classes.

Session 1: June 6 - July 11, 2010 NO CLASS July 4th weekend

Sunrise Cycle

A perfect class for early risers! Get a great workout in before your work day begins. 45 minute CardioCycling and 15 minutes ab work. For all levels.

Morning Cycle

A full hour of Cardio Interval Training. For all levels.

CardioCycling - Interval

Join us for intervals of high and low intensity cycling. You control the pace while getting the workout of your life! For all levels.

Sunday Cycle Trio

Three instructors, three different styles, one amazing class. All fitness levels welcome.

Nia

Through expressive movement, Nia is a body-mind-spirit fitness and lifestyle practice that fuses Eastern and Western modalities: dance arts, healing arts and martial arts. Each Nia class promises a unique experience for your body, mind, emotions and spirit. Great for any fitness level.

Lunch Sculpt Express

This intense, fast-paced class targets every muscle in the body! Using the Bosu, weights, fit balls, medicine balls, body bars, and the Step, this class is designed for people who want motivation and have a lot of energy!

Cardio Jam

A fun class that incorporates a variety of cardio styles such as step, dance aerobics, and kickboxing.

CSI (Cardio/Strength/Inhale)

This class is devoted to equal parts step aerobics, strength training and core. All fitness levels welcome.

Qi Gong

An internal meditative practice to promote the circulation of Qi (energy) within the human body intended to bring balance into your body and mind.

Iyengar Yoga

Achieve greater balance, strength, and flexibility by practicing some beginning poses in the Iyengar tradition, focusing on precision and alignment.

Hatha Flow Yoga

A class of challenging and dynamic postures incorporating breath with movement to open and strengthen the body and mind. All levels welcome.

Balanced Yoga

This class will offer a sequence of poses designed to bring tone, balance, and strength to your muscle groups, as well as added flexibility to your joints. By paying attention to alignment and breath your body will begin to open. You will leave class feeling connected, re-vitalized, and transformed.

Kripalu Yoga

Kripalu Yoga is sometimes called the yoga of consciousness. Students are encouraged to honor the wisdom of the body while incorporating music with movement and breath. The theme of this class is catharsis so join us and let yourself go!

Gentle Yoga

Enhance your quality of life and well being. Drawing from a variety of styles, you will be introduced to the complexities of yoga in a gentle way. Appropriate for seniors, those with physical challenges or injuries, and those new to yoga.

Senior Strength and Stretch

A perfect opportunity to work at your own pace maintaining bone density, increasing endurance, and improving flexibility. All levels of fitness are welcome. This class consists of 40 minutes of strengthening and 20 minutes of stretch.

Pilates Mat

Pilates is an exercise discipline that introduces the student to the power of your core. It focuses on improving flexibility and strength while incorporating breathwork to balance the body. Pilates builds strength from the inside out.

Restorative Pilates

In this all levels class, experience the fundamentals of the method developed by Joseph Pilates in a challenge between your body and gravity. Core strength and stability surrounding a neutral spine will bring a body awareness that will carry you through your daily activities with less stress and more vitality.

Body Balance

Integrated conditioning with fluid grace, this class combines dynamic, rhythmic movement and weighted strength training. This class complements other training modalities with an emphasis on increasing stability and core strength.

Zumba®

The Zumba® workout is a fun and energetic dance-fitness class inspired by Latin music, exotic dance rhythms, and aerobic fitness.

Movement Class for Cancer Survivors

This class will be a combination of Kripalu Yoga and Strength Training designed for men and women to help minimize the side effects of cancer treatment, reverse postural and range of motion issues that arise from surgery and reconstruction, and focus on awareness and prevention of lymphedema. The class will incorporate yogic breathing, postures and meditation as well as the use of fitballs, tubing and other exercise accessories to build strength , balance and flexibility. All fitness levels are welcome. Drop-ins are welcome.
